Brent Mizzen is Assistant Vice President, Market Conduct Policy and Regulation for the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA). He is responsible for leading the planning, development and execution of strategies relating to market conduct policy and regulation, which includes the distribution of life and health Insurance products and wealth products. Brent works closely with member insurance companies, distribution partners and regulators on a range of market conduct issues. Prior to joining the CLHIA in 2011, Brent spent 10 years developing public policy at the Government of Canada, primarily at the Department of Finance. He holds a Master’s of Economics degree from the University of Waterloo as well as an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
